Initial Assessment
Every new patient starts here — because the right treatment depends entirely on what your body presents, and Kylie won't guess.
An Initial Assessment is a working appointment, not a chat. In 1 hr 15 min, Kylie builds the complete picture your treatment plan will rest on — and there is time for treatment on the day.
What the assessment covers
- Your history — your condition, how it developed, surgery, medications, and anything else relevant. Kylie will also screen carefully for contraindications: the situations in which lymphatic work should be modified or avoided.
- A tissue examination — feeling the tissue consistency and skin condition, identifying congestion and possible blockages in the system.
- Your plan — what Kylie recommends, how often, for how long, what it costs, and what you can do at home. Discussed with you, not handed down.
- Treatment — assessment rarely takes the whole appointment, so most patients receive their first treatment in the same visit.
What to bring
- Your completed consultation form — download and print it here.
- Any doctor's letters. A doctor's letter is required for previous cancer patients within a five-year period of clearance, stating permission to receive Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Low Level Laser Therapy.
- Prior assessments relating to your condition.
- Any garments, bandages and products you are currently using.
After your assessment
Once your assessment is complete, treatment sessions open up to you — bookable online in 25, 50, 75 or 90-minute lengths, with Kylie combining the techniques your plan calls for in each one.
