Privacy policy
This policy explains how Kylie Fletcher, trading as Lymph Drainage Therapy, handles your personal information. It is written to meet the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you book online we collect your name, email address, phone number, the treatment you selected, your appointment time, and any notes you choose to provide. During treatment we also collect health information: your medical history, current conditions, medications and treatment records. Health information is sensitive information and is treated accordingly.
Payment information
Card payments are processed by Square. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered directly into Square’s hosted payment form and are never sent to, seen by, or stored on this website. We retain only Square’s payment reference, the amount paid and the receipt link so we can identify and refund your payment if needed. Square’s own privacy policy governs their handling of that data.
How we use it
- To reserve, confirm and deliver your appointment.
- To send you booking confirmations, reminders and receipts.
- To assess your suitability for treatment and plan your care.
- To maintain the clinical records we are required to keep.
- To process refunds where the cancellation terms allow.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have separately asked to hear from us.
Who we share it with
Your information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the clinic: Square (payment processing), our website and database hosting providers, and our email delivery provider. Your appointment details are synchronised to Kylie’s own calendar so she can manage her day.
We will otherwise only disclose your health information with your consent — for example to your doctor or specialist — or where we are required to by law.
Storage and security
Information is stored in secured, access-controlled databases and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to clinical records is limited to Kylie. Health records are retained for the period required by Queensland law, which is generally seven years from your last appointment, or until a minor patient turns 25.
Accessing and correcting your information
You may ask to see the personal and health information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Contact Kylie on 0408 948 817 to make a request. We will respond within a reasonable period, and will explain our reasons if we are unable to give access in full.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary to operate the booking system and to keep clinic staff signed in to the admin area. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, please raise it with Kylie in the first instance on 0408 948 817. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
